Buenos Aires, January 2 (NA) – The Justice system sentenced a man to 18 years in prison for the murder of Axel Eduardo Ferreyra, a young man who was shot dead in October 2022 in the provincial capital because his dog bit the perpetrator. According to information from the Public Ministry of the Accusation (MPA), which was accessed by the Argentine News Agency, Mario Daniel Vidaurrazaga threatened a relative of the victim with a firearm while forcing them to enter a home. There, the perpetrator intimidated other family members and ordered them to hand over a dog that was allegedly owned by his father. He then went to a neighboring house, where he found Ferreyra and shot him in the face. Additionally, as explained by the case prosecutor, Andrés Marchi, Vidaurrazaga attempted to take the life of another victim, but the latter managed to escape from his house located at passage La Fe 9600. The perpetrator was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the crimes of aggravated homicide by the use of a firearm and in the degree of attempt, and of coercive threat (due to the use of a weapon).
